NEW TRENDS-----------------------GIS

Hi All,

We are back after a long time and herein I have brought for you to read the new trends

in the GIS Market. As we all know that India is registering strong growth despite global economic slowdown and it augers good for geospatial industry as well. The industry is unanimously positive about the growth of geospatial in the country as we see the increase in projects from the international market.

GIS has proven itself from our past experience in the utility as a being the tool for representing real-world conditions on digital/electronic media that remotely monitors and manipulates asset related data and quickly represents linkages and inter relationships between the assets. It not only visualizes the current demands and priorities but also effectively with a globally dispersed team.

GIS technology not only saves time but also allows several alternatives to carry out the task on hand quickly and cost effectively.

The latest trends coming up in the GIS market are:

Census 2011 will be a GIS-based DSS

Use of GIS in Olympic 2010

Use of GIS in Metro trains in Mumbai and Delhi

Use of GIS Disaster Management

I have a long list of these which will no doubt keep on increasing day by day as the GIS market will grow.

I will back with articles on all these trends, till then visit us @www.dimensionigis.com.

As I always say KEEP BLOGGING!
